As a Franklin wedding photographer, one of the things I love most about my job is getting to capture the little moments that make each couple’s day so special. And when a fun, vibrant couple from New Orleans chose Autumn Crest in Franklin, Tennessee, for their destination micro wedding, it was clear this was going to be a day full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. With the beautiful backdrop of this unique Nashville venue, they tied the knot surrounded by their closest family in one of the most picturesque spots in all of Franklin.

Why Autumn Crest is One of the Best Franklin Wedding Venues

Autumn Crest is truly one of the most unique Nashville venues I’ve had the privilege of photographing at. The venue is known for its stunning historic home, which is both elegant and welcoming, and its expansive patio, which is perfect for hosting an outdoor reception or ceremony. The lush gardens and surrounding greenery create a peaceful and romantic atmosphere that makes it easy to see why this venue is so popular for Franklin weddings.

For this couple, the mix of Southern charm and natural beauty made Autumn Crest the perfect place for their micro wedding. They were surrounded by their closest family, which made the entire day feel incredibly personal and meaningful. The historic home provided a cozy yet grand space for getting ready, while the patio allowed for an outdoor ceremony that felt intimate and relaxed. As a Franklin wedding photographer, capturing these moments in such a gorgeous setting made my heart so full.

The Ceremony: Intimate and Full of Love

The ceremony took place outside on the beautiful patio at Autumn Crest, and it was exactly what you would expect from a Franklin wedding in such a stunning location—sweet, simple, and full of emotion. The couple exchanged vows under a canopy of trees, with their closest family by their side. There was a soft breeze in the air, and the sound of birds chirping made the moment feel even more serene.

What I loved most about this Franklin wedding was how personal everything felt. The couple’s joy was contagious, and you could tell they were so grateful to be surrounded by the people they loved most on their special day. As a Franklin wedding photographer, I thrive on capturing these moments—those little glances, the laughter, the tears—and this wedding was full of those precious details.

A Garden Party Reception at Autumn Crest

After the ceremony, the celebration moved to the gorgeous patio for the reception, and it truly felt like a beautiful garden party. There was delicious food, heartfelt toasts, and plenty of dancing. The historic home at Autumn Crest and the surrounding grounds provided the perfect setting for this intimate gathering. With string lights twinkling overhead and the soft glow of the sunset, it was a picture-perfect evening that truly captured the spirit of the couple’s love.

One of the highlights of this Franklin wedding was the way the couple incorporated their own personalities into the celebration. From the quirky details in their decor to the songs they chose for their first dance, everything about their reception felt unique to them. It wasn’t just about tradition—it was about creating a day that was a true reflection of who they were as a couple, and it made the entire celebration feel so special.
